Job Title

Firmware PHY Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Firmware PHY Verification Engineer will be part of the Firmware (FW) PHY Verification group responsible for verifying FW PHY components for networking features. The engineer will work closely with firmware, PHY development, and architecture teams to define and execute verification plans and to improve product quality.

This is a hybrid role based in Tel Aviv focused on building and maintaining verification infrastructure, CI-driven regression suites, and test automation.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 2+ years of relevant industry experience in firmware, verification, or related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification, infrastructure development, and CI automation for networking features.

  • Own verification and delivery of networking features, including test plan definition and execution.
  • Design, develop, and maintain verification infrastructure and regression test suites that are robust, maintainable, and portable.
  • Integrate and operate with continuous integration systems; automate builds, execute test suites, and analyze results.
  • Collaborate with firmware, PHY, and architecture teams to identify issues and close verification gaps.
  • Improve test coverage, reliability, and the overall product quality through tooling and process enhancements.

Must-have:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in firmware, verification, or a related engineering role.
  • Proficient programming in C and C++ with object-oriented design practices.
  • Practical experience using Linux for development and debugging.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with verification and automation frameworks and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Python and source-control workflows (Git).
  • Experience with networking applications, protocols, and CI tooling (e.g., Gerrit, Jenkins).

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering (or equivalent degree) was requested in the posting.
