Role Summary

Design and develop high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems. Work on firmware for ARM-based embedded platforms that support SSD tester, validation, and debug infrastructures.

The role supports test, debug and validation tools to accelerate product bring-up and ensure storage product quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level; requires several years of hands-on embedded firmware development experience (no specific years listed).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on firmware delivery, validation, and failure analysis for SSD tester platforms.

• Design and implement embedded firmware for ARM-based platforms.
• Develop, build, integrate and maintain firmware for SSD tester systems.
• Perform bench testing, debugging, and failure analysis of firmware and test platforms.
• Create and maintain scripts, tools, and development environments to support validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.

Requirements

Must-have:

• In-depth experience with embedded firmware development.
• Proven programming skills in C and Python.
• Experience with scripting languages, programming tools, and build environments.
• Familiarity with storage interfaces; PCIe/NVMe experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in multi-functional teams under competing priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience in the storage industry (SSD, storage systems) and NAND flash.
• FPGA knowledge.
