Field Service Engineer
Role Summary
Provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and customer-facing services for FormFactor probe card products at customer locations. The role handles troubleshooting, repairs, escalation management, customer training, and data collection to improve product performance in the field.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests a minimum of 3 years of relevant test or application engineering experience but explicitly states fresh graduates will be considered.
Responsibilities
Primary duties focus on field support, problem resolution, and customer enablement.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on probe cards and related equipment at customer sites.
- Manage field escalations and coordinate with global engineering teams to deliver timely solutions.
- Provide customer training and technical guidance to improve product usage and yield.
- Collect and maintain field performance data and recommend product or process improvements.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive technical support and communication.
- Be available to perform shift work as required by customer schedules.
Requirements

- Minimum ~3 years experience in test engineering (wafer sort, final test) or application engineering with Automated Test Equipment or semiconductor capital equipment; experience with probe cards is advantageous. (Fresh graduates may be considered.)
- Experience in customer service/support and customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong ability to present technical information clearly and credibly.
- Knowledge of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, particularly back-end test processes.
- English proficiency for verbal and written technical communication.
- Willingness to work in shifts and travel to customer sites as required.
Education Requirements
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering or a related engineering field is requested; equivalent practical experience is acceptable. The posting also states fresh graduates will be considered.
