Responsibilities

The role focuses on customer technical engagement, design enablement, and problem resolution.

  • Provide pre-sales technical support and product demonstrations to customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with customers to define requirements, create reference designs, and integrate Lattice devices into systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and FPGA issues during bring-up and validation.
  • Develop test plans, perform lab characterization, and reproduce customer issues in-house.
  • Create technical collateral: application notes, reference designs, test reports, and training materials.

  • Experience with board-level bring-up, signal integrity basics, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB as applicable).
  • Ability to debug hardware and firmware interactions; experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools.
  • Proficiency with scripting or programming for test automation (Python, TCL, or similar).
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills and ability to translate technical requirements into designs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and document technical outcomes clearly.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with low-power design techniques, power sequencing, or domain-specific protocols.
  • Prior field applications or pre-sales engineering experience in semiconductor or embedded systems companies.
