Role Summary

Provide technical application support for customers and partners using Lattice programmable devices. Work with sales, product engineering, and customers to define requirements, develop reference designs, validate solutions, and resolve hardware and software issues.

This is a customer-facing engineering role focused on pre-sales support, design-in assistance, lab validation, and technical enablement.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical support to customers during evaluation, design-in, and deployment phases.
• Create and deliver demos, reference designs, application notes, and evaluation code.
• Work with customers to define system requirements and recommend device and architecture choices.
• Perform lab validation, bring-up, troubleshooting, and performance characterization.
• Collaborate with sales, product teams, and field teams to drive customer success and product feedback.
• Provide training and technical enablement to customers and internal teams.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Experience with FPGAs, CPLDs, or other programmable logic and digital design using Verilog or VHDL.
• Must-have: Hands-on lab experience with hardware debug, board bring-up, and customer-facing technical communication.
• Must-have: Experience developing demos or reference designs and integrating embedded systems or SoCs.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Lattice devices and toolflows, high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet), scripting for automation (Python, TCL), and board bring-up experience.
• Nice-to-have: Experience collaborating with product management and engineering to drive product requirements.
