Role Summary

Field Application Engineer responsible for technical leadership in sales campaigns for the proFPGA product portfolio. The role supports customer evaluations, pilots, deployments, and long-term adoption by coordinating with sales, product, support, and services teams.

This role engages with engineering and management stakeholders to translate technical outcomes into business value and to enable successful customer implementations.

Experience Level

Senior technical contributor; the posting lists a preferred ~5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical customer engagement, leading evaluations, and enabling product adoption.

• Build trusted relationships with engineering and management stakeholders.
• Lead technical discovery to capture customer requirements, design flows, and competitive challenges.
• Present Siemens EDA solutions and demonstrate cross-platform value.
• Lead technical aspects of sales campaigns, evaluations, and pilot projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources across Sales, Product, Support, and Services.
• Drive product adoption by defining methodologies and optimizing customer workflows.
• Resolve deployment challenges and ensure long-term customer success.
• Mentor and train other Field Application Engineers and contribute to team enablement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Siemens EDA products and competitive technologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional competencies.

• Strong understanding of customer design flows and EDA workflows.
• Experience extending or integrating tools via scripting, APIs, or environment configuration.
• Ability to articulate and position cross-platform and cross-portfolio solutions to solve customer challenges.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to drive evaluations and deployments.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience mapping Siemens EDA solutions to customer workflows.
• Proficiency with common EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
• Knowledge of competitive EDA environments and ability to differentiate solutions.
• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience (preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is specified.
