Field Application Engineer - PowerPro

Role Summary

Customer-facing Field Application Engineer to support Siemens EDA's PowerPro platform for RTL and gate-level power analysis and optimization. Work with semiconductor customers to drive evaluations, deployments, and adoption while collaborating with sales, R&D, and product teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership through the sales cycle and technical support during deployment and adoption.

  • Partner with sales to define and execute technical strategies aligned to customer requirements.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops.
  • Lead evaluations and proof-of-concepts to drive customer adoption and wins.
  • Support deployment and onboarding of PowerPro across customer teams.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including debugging and training.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to influence product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Travel as required (hybrid role; up to ~20% travel noted).

Requirements

  • Must-have: Strong RTL design experience (Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL).
  • Must-have: Knowledge of digital design, synthesis, and verification flows.
  • Must-have: Experience with RTL power analysis and optimization methodologies.
  • Must-have: Scripting experience (Tcl, Python).
  • Must-have: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with power tools (e.g., PrimePower, PowerArtist) and low-power methodologies (UPF/CPF).
  • Nice-to-have: Customer-facing FAE/AE experience and exposure to advanced SoC designs and process nodes.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience leveraging AI-driven tools/workflows (e.g., Copilot, OpenAI APIs) to improve productivity and debugging.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (BS/MS in EE, CS, or related field as stated).
