Role Summary

Provide technical sales support for Arrow's supplier technologies to customers across East Michigan. Act as a regional Field Application Engineer (FAE) partnering with sales, suppliers, and customers to drive design wins, support production, and resolve technical issues.

The role requires regular on-site customer and supplier visits in East Michigan and collaboration with distribution Field Sales and Account Development teams.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical leadership, customer engagement, and supplier management.

• Present and promote supplier technologies to customers and identify opportunities for design wins.
• Serve as technical lead on complex, system-level customer engagements and drive demand creation.
• Partner with sales on pre- and post-sales activities and provide advanced technical consulting.
• Manage supplier and customer expectations; build relationships with senior decision makers.
• Attend supplier trainings, branch strategy meetings, and quarterly business reviews.
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution; support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts.
• Organize and conduct engineering customer events, conferences, or training sessions.
• Support design services initiatives and provide production-phase technical assistance.
• Regular travel to customer and supplier sites in East Michigan; visit Arrow office locations as requested.

Requirements

• Must-have: Residency within East Michigan and ability to travel regularly to customer and supplier sites.
• Must-have: Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must-have: Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work, and support both pre- and post-sales activities.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in semiconductor design, field application engineering, sales engineering, or related technical roles.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with supplier product lines and the ability to position supplier technologies against competitors.

Education Requirements

4-year Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related major (Bachelor's degree required as listed). No certifications or alternative-equivalent language is provided in the posting.
