Role Summary

Field Application Engineer supporting Siemens EDA emulation products. The role partners with sales, product, and support teams to lead technical engagements, evaluations, deployments, and customer enablement for a defined product portfolio.

The position focuses on driving product adoption through technical leadership, customer-facing demonstrations, and workflow optimization across engineering organizations.

Experience Level

Mid-level (approximately 5+ years' relevant experience). Expected to act as a senior technical contributor and mentor within the Field Application Engineering team.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical sales support, customer enablement, and cross-functional coordination.

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with engineering and management stakeholders at customer sites.
• Lead technical discovery to assess customer requirements, design flows, and competitive challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations that communicate solution value.
• Drive technical aspects of sales campaigns, evaluations, pilot projects, and deployments.
• Coordinate resources across Sales, Product, Support, and Services for successful execution.
• Define methodologies and optimize customer workflows to increase product adoption.
• Translate technical outcomes into business value and advise on solution configuration and licensing.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and support long-term customer success.
• Mentor and train other Field Application Engineers; contribute to team enablement.
• Maintain expertise on Siemens EDA offerings and competing technologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the items below.

• Proficiency with EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
• Strong understanding of customer design flows and the ability to map solutions to those workflows.
• Experience extending or integrating tools via scripting, APIs, or environment configuration.
• Ability to lead technical evaluations, pilot projects, and deployments in customer environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with competitive EDA environments and how to differentiate technical value.
• Willingness to mentor peers and support team enablement activities.
• Employment is subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR); must be a U.S. Person or obtain any required export authorization.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The posting expects approximately 5+ years of relevant experience as an alternative or supplement to degree requirements.
