FAE/Field Support Manager - FPGA

Role Summary

The FAE/Field Support Manager will lead and manage distributor FAEs to promote AMD products, providing technical support and ensuring customer success.

Mid-level, typically requires relevant work experience in the field.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Leading distributor FAEs to promote AMD products to customers.
• Providing technical support in the selection and use of AMD development tools and products.
• Creating proof of concept designs to demonstrate AMD values.
• Focusing on design win strategies for customer opportunities.
• Analyzing customer needs and comparing AMD solutions to competitors.
• Collaborating with field and factory resources for technical proposals.
• Implementing circuits to demonstrate efficient use of AMD technology.
• Providing post-sales support including performance tuning and design feedback.
• Regularly communicating customer needs to AMD management.
• Supporting embedded customers with DFAEs when necessary.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of FPGA architectures and use cases.
• Industry experience with FPGA architecture, design, and support.
• Experience with Vivado, ISE, or Quartus.
• In-depth knowledge of VHDL or Verilog design.
• C, C++, and OpenCL experience is a plus.
• Software knowledge on Linux, Hypervisor, and drivers preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent is required.
