Job Title

Experienced Verification Engineer - System IP

Role Summary

Join the Budapest System IP verification team to develop and verify System IP components for client, embedded and IoT devices. The role focuses on verification plan ownership, environment development, modelling and collaboration with design, validation and performance teams to meet functional, power and performance targets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning, implementing and owning verification for System IP blocks and working with cross-functional teams to meet product goals.

  • Contribute to System IP microarchitecture specification and design.
  • Develop verification, modelling and debug code in SystemVerilog, C and C++ (including UVM where appropriate).
  • Own and develop verification plans and environments; select the best verification approach.
  • Prototype and propose new methodologies and automation to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design, performance modelling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional, performance, power and area targets.

Requirements

Must-have skills are technical and practical verification capabilities; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Proven experience in object-oriented software development (C++ or SystemVerilog preferred).
  • Working knowledge of SystemVerilog/UVM, C and C++ for verification and modelling.
  • Interest in and theoretical knowledge of digital circuits, FPGAs and embedded software (C).
  • Experience developing verification plans and environments and debugging complex RTL/SoC interactions.
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn and collaborate across teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to full product development cycle: concept, specification, implementation, testing and release.
  • Experience with block-level RTL design and verification of non-trivial ASIC or FPGA projects (SystemVerilog preferred).
  • Scripting experience (Linux, Bash, Python).
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training and customer meetings.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering strongly preferred. A Bachelor's degree with demonstrated related experience may be accepted. The posting also allows equivalent post-degree practical experience.
