Experienced Hardware Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of Arm ML/Neural Network hardware IP. The role is based in either Lund (Sweden) or Cambridge (United Kingdom) and involves developing verification strategy, creating testbenches, and collaborating with global design teams to deliver high-quality silicon IP.

Responsibilities

The engineer will lead block-level verification activities and own complex verification work packages.

  • Develop and execute verification plans for ML/NN hardware blocks.
  • Design, implement, and debug SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random testbenches.
  • Drive coverage-driven verification for high-complexity designs.
  • Define and influence verification strategy and methodology.
  • Estimate effort, plan tasks, and track progress to delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and validation teams across sites.
  • Reduce bug escapes by ensuring thorough verification and quality checks.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate impact; followed by common desirable skills.

  • Confirmed delivery record in block-level verification using methodologies such as UVM.
  • Expertise in coverage-driven verification of complex designs.
  • Proven experience specifying, creating, and debugging SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random testbenches.
  • Experience planning the design process and producing realistic effort and time estimates.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus to minimize bug escapes.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with requirements definition and requirement management.
  • Formal verification experience.
  • Experience building C/C++ models of microarchitecture behavior.
  • Knowledge of the Arm architecture and AMBA bus protocols.
  • Familiarity with CI platforms (e.g. Jenkins) and version control (git).
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning and neural networks.
