Experienced Hardware Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Experienced Hardware Design Engineer will join the GPU HW team and contribute expertise in functional safety architectures at both microarchitectural and system levels of GPUs. This role aims to deliver high-performance, power-efficient hardware solutions while influencing architecture and mentoring team engineers.

Experience Level

Mid-level experience required with a focus on hardware design.

Responsibilities

The role entails understanding the elements required for successful product delivery, including techniques for low-power and high-speed designs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing micro-architecture specifications.
  • Developing RTL and running various design checks.
  • Collaborating with the verification team to review test plans and debug design issues.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in RTL design for complex ASIC products and SoCs using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with static design checks, synthesis, and timing analysis, as well as power management techniques.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions for performance optimization and power reduction.
  • Good understanding of computer architecture and systems.
  • Knowledge of shell programming/scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python, etc.).
  • Experience mentoring junior design engineers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills:

  • Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts and standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508), particularly in automotive IP or SoC.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies, preferably formal verification.
