Ethernet Hardware Product Application Engineer
Role Summary
Provide hardware and systems enablement for Intel Ethernet products. Work with customers, internal engineering teams, and industry partners to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and production readiness requirements.
Support design validation, lab and field testing, documentation, and ecosystem integration to enable successful product ramp and deployment.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical support, validation, and customer enablement for Ethernet hardware products.
- Provide technical support for Intel Ethernet products throughout development, testing, and production.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate customer requirements and enable ecosystem readiness.
- Develop and implement tools and test automation to support product design, validation, and quality assurance.
- Create technical collateral: product specifications, hardware design guides, and application notes.
- Perform design reviews including schematic and board-layout analysis, signal integrity evaluation, and logical device control validation.
- Resolve complex customer issues in lab and field test environments.
- Deliver product training and provide rapid technical support during product ramp.

Must-have: Demonstrated expertise in Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) and networking; proficiency in Ethernet architecture, interfaces, and network products; experience in signal integrity, transmission-line theory, power integrity, analog circuit design, and high-speed signal processing; experience with schematic/board-layout review and SI evaluation; familiarity with Windows and Linux Ethernet driver debug methodologies; ability to debug in lab/field settings; scripting experience (Python) for test automation; strong customer-facing troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-have: Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802.3 standards; experience with Ethernet SerDes interface design and debug; familiarity with Intel system-level interfaces (BMC, NCSI, I2C, IOSF, SMBUS, SPI); practical experience designing and validating networking products (LOMs, adapters, mezzanines, embedded form factors); interest or experience applying AI/ML to testing or validation workflows.
