ETCH Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical product support for ETCH equipment, focusing on hardware performance, failure analysis, and customer escalations. Collaborate with engineering and field teams to resolve long-term issues, support new product introductions, and ensure successful field implementation.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include field support, escalation management, and documentation:
- Act as third-level escalation for hardware and software stability issues at customer sites.
- Lead failure analysis, develop corrective designs, and track resolution plans.
- Support new product introductions and early learning shipments (Alpha/Beta site support): installation, operation, calibration, service and testing.
- Review and initiate ECOs; validate fixes and coordinate communications to the field.
- Generate and present system performance metrics and process reports (e.g., MTBF, MTBI, Availability).
- Create and review technical documentation (CENs, BKMs, support plans) and ensure field implementation.
- Organize and deliver on-site training for internal and customer engineers.
- Engage directly with customers on technical escalations and present solutions at the customer level.
Requirements
Must-have skills and expectations:
- Experience supporting semiconductor equipment hardware in a customer-facing role.
- Proven ability in failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software stability issues.
- Ability to prepare and present technical performance data and reports.
- Experience creating technical documentation and executing ECOs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and training.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with MTBF/MTBI analysis and availability reporting.
- Prior involvement in new product introduction and early learning shipments.
