Entry Level NVM Reliability Lab Engineer

Role Summary

The NVM Reliability team characterizes, models, and enables next-generation non-volatile memory technologies for product development across the company. This role executes lab characterization experiments, develops automation and data-processing systems, and supports hardware and software debugging to validate device reliability.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” recent graduate (within the past 2 years) or equivalent early-career experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning and executing reliability characterization studies and supporting lab operations.

  • Manage execution of NVM reliability experiments in collaboration with engineers and technicians.
  • Design and run test programs; collect, process, and archive measurement data.
  • Develop and maintain automation, monitoring, and data-processing systems (databases, web servers; Linux/Windows).
  • Assist in developing and debugging evaluation software and embedded code (C/C++).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab hardware and instrumentation; coordinate repairs with vendors and trades.
  • Debug measurement setups using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers; read PCB schematics.
  • Perform statistical analysis of characterization data and summarize conclusions.
  • Communicate results and recommendations to internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.

  • Must-have: Familiarity with scripting and data analysis (Python, JMP, or similar) and experience processing measurement data.
  • Must-have: Basic hardware debugging and lab equipment experience; ability to read schematics and operate oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Must-have: Strong attention to detail, curiosity, proactivity, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Embedded/microcontroller software experience in C/C++ and experience with tools such as Exensio.
  • Nice-to-have: Interest in statistics and solid-state device fundamentals, particularly MRAM, RRAM, or other NVM technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or an equivalent technical field. Candidates are expected to be graduates within the past 2 years or possess equivalent practical experience.
