Entry Level Digital Physical Design Engineer
Role Summary
Contribute to digital physical design and layout implementation for SoC projects under guidance from senior engineers. Work with design, verification, and methodology teams to execute physical implementation tasks, resolve routine issues, and support project milestones.
Focus on hands-on execution of layout, checks, timing/power tasks, and documenting flows and results while developing engineering skills.
Experience Level
Entry-level β recent graduates or graduating soon. Candidates typically within two years of completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Implement physical layout, run checks, and prepare design data under senior guidance.
- Support timing, power, quality, and rule-check tasks using standard EDA tools and methods.
- Collaborate with design, verification, and methodology teams to diagnose and resolve routine issues.
- Document design flows, results, and lessons learned for project use.
- Contribute to structured execution, technical learning, and meeting project milestones.
Requirements
Must-have skills and traits:
- Practical exposure from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; quick learner.
- Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
Education Requirements
Recent Bachelor's or Master's degree (or graduating soon) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline; degree completion typically within the past two years.
