Engineering Intern - PMIC Validation Lab
Role Summary
Support validation of analog/mixed-signal Power Management ICs (PMIC) in the Advanced Power Systems team. Work on hardware for silicon validation, test automation, bench measurements, and validation method improvements.
This is a 6-month final-year engineering internship based in Toulouse, focused on delivering repeatable, accurate lab validation for automotive-grade PMICs.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (final-year engineering student or recent graduate). 6-month duration.
Responsibilities
The trainee will perform hands-on validation tasks and contribute to automation and process improvements.
- Design and develop characterization boards (Cadence).
- Implement test automation and instrument control using Python.
- Execute IC parametric and functional bench measurements.
- Apply data/AI tools to improve throughput and analysis.
- Coordinate with cross-functional project teams and the development lead.
- Contribute to validation methods: accuracy, coverage, traceability and cost control.

Must-have- Solid knowledge of analog, digital and power circuit fundamentals.
- Practical lab bench testing and electrical measurement skills.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and instrument control.
- Experience with PCB/design tools such as Cadence for validation board development.
- Teamwork, structured and analytical working style; good command of English for an international team.
- Experience applying AI/data tools to test throughput or result analysis.
- Familiarity with PMICs, mixed-signal silicon validation, or automated test frameworks.
Education Requirements
Master's degree level (Bac+5) or final year of engineering school in Electronics / Electrical Engineering / Microelectronics (Master Degree / last year of engineering school in Electronics). A technical engineering education in microelectronics/electrical engineering is expected.
