Engineer, Yield Enhancement
Role Summary
The Engineer, Yield Enhancement will be responsible for conducting electrical failure analysis and fault isolation. This role involves utilizing various semiconductor design and analysis tools to aid in identifying and resolving issues related to semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Experience Level
Entry-level; internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Perform Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Fault Isolation.
- Operate various analysis tools including Hamamatsu iPHEMOS and Thermo Fisher ELITE.
- Characterize or model Probe test and internal qualification fail signatures.
- Utilize layout/schematic for fault isolation and fail signature modeling.
- Apply Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) and de-processing techniques for failures.
- Understand manufacturing fabrication processes and methodologies.
- Generate timely failure analysis reports with clear causes and effects.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Microelectronics or Circuit Design.
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels.

- Leadership qualities and a desire to make an impact.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry is preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
