Job Title

Engineer, Reliability Engineering

Role Summary

The Reliability Engineer will plan, execute, and report semiconductor reliability evaluations and qualifications for components, modules, or systems. The role manages reliability projects, performs stress testing and data analysis, and coordinates resolutions with design, test, fab, assembly, vendors, and customers.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include managing reliability projects, running reliability tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Define and implement reliability evaluation and qualification plans at component, module, or system level.
  • Execute reliability stress tests and collect/analyze reliability data.
  • Perform Design of Experiments, troubleshoot failures, and drive corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical reports and present results to management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Design, Test, Fabrication, Assembly/Packaging, vendors, and customers.
  • Conduct special studies to characterize new technology reliability.
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables for strategic reliability initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, plus a few preferred skills.

  • Understanding of semiconductor physics.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical models and data analysis.
  • Experience with database programming and displaying data in graphical interfaces.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for varied internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing demands, think critically, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Required travel: approximately 10% of the time.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of system-level reliability.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
