Job Title

Engineer - QEM Product Quality Engineering (Wafer Level Reliability)

Role Summary

Accountable for wafer-level reliability (WLR) and Fab reliability performance at Micron Fab 10N/X in Singapore. The role partners with process, test, product, and quality teams to define sampling plans, monitor outgoing quality and reliability metrics, assess conversion risks, and develop WLR capability as a proxy for package-level reliability testing.

Experience Level

Mid-level engineer; no explicit years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on reliability performance, risk assessment, and cross-functional execution to meet intrinsic reliability targets.

  • Own Fab reliability performance metrics and reporting for Fab 10N/X.
  • Define and execute Wafer Level Reliability (WLR) sampling plans and outgoing quality & reliability monitoring (OQRM).
  • Assess process conversion risks (Class 1/2), define data collection needs, and advise on conversion roadmaps.
  • Develop and validate WLR capability as a proxy for package-level reliability tests.
  • Investigate failure mechanisms and perform deep dives on product intrinsic scorecards (endurance, retention, program disturb, X-temp, etc.).
  • Partner with PI/PEE, TD, QE, product, and test teams to implement process improvements that meet reliability targets.
  • Serve as SME for reliability failure modes, detection methods, and excursion mitigation projects.
  • Provide corrective and preventive actions in response to customer quality feedback and coordinate with CQE/FEMQA teams.

Requirements

Key skills and capabilities required or strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of semiconductor reliability failure mechanisms and device characterization methods.
  • Familiarity with probe testing and test methodologies used for device qualification and datasheet verification.
  • Experience performing risk assessments on process changes and defining statistical sampling/monitoring plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret reliability data and drive technical decisions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with process, test, product, and quality teams and influence outcomes.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methods and contributing as a subject-matter expert in quality projects.
  • Baseline digital fluency and ability to use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve research, analysis, and operational tasks.
  • Highly motivated, growth-oriented, and able to operate in a manufacturing environment with operational rigor.
  • Nice to have: NAND reliability/EFA experience, CMOS device physics knowledge, and familiarity with NAND device operation and datasheets.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Physics, Data Science/Analytics, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
