Job Title

Engineer, Product Engineering (Prod Dev)

Role Summary

Work on semiconductor product development within the Product Development team, focusing on materials/component evaluation, electronic part design, qualification testing, and production optimization.

Work is performed with moderate supervision on defined projects to improve reliability and manufacturing processes for Analog Devices product lines.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Preferred experience: 2–5 years in relevant semiconductor/product engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, testing, and process improvement for semiconductor products.

  • Evaluate reliability of materials and components and report findings.
  • Design and develop electronic parts and components for product lines.
  • Perform and document qualification testing for products.
  • Contribute to optimization of production techniques and workflows.
  • Integrate mechanical and optical components as required by designs.
  • Apply digital signal processing principles where applicable to component design.
  • Troubleshoot integrated circuits and support testing and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and execute assigned project tasks under moderate supervision.

Requirements

Required skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Must-have: Demonstrated expertise in product/material/component reliability assessment.
  • Must-have: Practical experience in electronic design and development of components.
  • Must-have: Working knowledge of mechanical and optical system integration.
  • Must-have: Practical application of digital signal processing (DSP) principles.
  • Must-have: Experience with qualification testing and IC testing/troubleshooting.
  • Must-have: Experience or practice in production workflow optimization techniques.
  • Nice-to-have: Proven track record of technical problem-solving and strong project execution capabilities.
  • Nice-to-have: 2–5 years of relevant industry experience (preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
