Engineer, Product Engineering (Mfg.)

Role Summary

The Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing) supports foundry and manufacturing teams to improve yield and reliability for semiconductor products. The role performs day-to-day foundry support, collaborates across fabs, test, design and quality organizations, and drives root-cause analysis and yield improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on engineering position focused on operational support, defect analysis, and proposing automation or process improvements for routine tasks. No travel is required.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate role). Minimum ~1 year of experience as a Semiconductor Product Engineer or Test Engineer is required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include operational foundry support, yield improvement, and collaboration for failure analysis.

  • Support Foundries Management Engineers with daily activities (e.g., raise ECN, apply manual inking/SPINK).
  • Identify and highlight systematic issues and opportunities for yield improvement.
  • Collaborate with foundry fabs, test, design, quality, and FA teams for root-cause analysis of unknown yield loss.
  • Propose and implement solutions to automate or streamline routine tasks.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and validate corrective actions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes for performing the job effectively.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Semiconductor Product Engineer or Test Engineer.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
  • Good written English and fluent verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
  • May require export licensing review for applicants who are not U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or other protected individuals.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AI tools, Datapower/PDF, ACE, EMA, and semiconductor testers.
