Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing)

Role Summary

The Product Engineer manages product activities from development through sustaining to ensure high-quality, reliable product releases for manufacturing. Responsible for product qualification, hardware and software debugging, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination during new product introduction and ongoing production.

Role operates within Product Engineering at the Cavite GTC and follows a crewing schedule; travel up to 10% is required.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Project management for product development and sustaining activities.
  • Plan and execute product qualification and evaluations.
  • Perform hardware and software debugging and schematic analysis.
  • Analyze test and production data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Support customer return investigations from FA initiation through 8D and implement test-screen fixes.
  • Collaborate with Design, Test Development, Quality, Failure Analysis, Equipment Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements

Minimum skills and expectations:

  • 2–5 years experience in product engineering, test engineering, or related manufacturing support roles.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debug, basic software debug, and schematic review.
  • Experience with product qualification methods and data analysis.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional investigations and drive corrective actions (e.g., 8D process).
  • Willingness to work crewing schedules and travel up to 10%.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Computer Engineering (ComEng) is specified. The posting also specifies 25 years of relevant experience.
