Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing)

Role Summary

This role supports manufacturing product engineering activities at the Penang site, working with foundry, test, design and quality teams to identify yield issues and implement improvements. The engineer will perform root-cause analysis, support foundry management tasks, and propose automation or process solutions for routine work.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). The position requires at least 1 year of semiconductor product-engineering or test-engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on supporting foundry operations and improving yield through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Support Foundries Management Engineers with daily tasks (e.g., raise ECN, apply manual inking/SPINK).
  • Identify systematic issues and recommend yield-improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with fabs, test, design, quality, and failure analysis teams to resolve yield loss.
  • Perform or coordinate root-cause analysis for unknown yield losses.
  • Propose and implement process or automation solutions for routine tasks.

Requirements

Must-have technical and workplace skills; optional items listed as advantages.

  • Minimum: 1 year of experience as a Semiconductor Product Engineer or Test Engineer.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
  • Good written and fluent verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with AI tools, Datapower/PDF, ACE, EMA, and test equipment.
