Engineer, Product Engineering

Role Summary

Responsible for driving new product evaluations and development, qualification activities, data analysis, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable product releases for the DCE Product Engineering business unit. Works closely with Design, Test, Reliability, Quality, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Fab, and Test Manufacturing Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate product functionality and performance through development stages with Design and Test Engineering.
  • Plan and execute product qualification activities with Design, Reliability, Quality, Failure Analysis, Assembly, and Fab teams.
  • Provide cradle-to-grave product ownership, including sustaining activities with Test Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Represent the business unit on Material Review Board (MRB) assessments and recommend material dispositions.
  • Design and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE); perform data analysis and reporting to drive issue resolution and product improvements.
  • Support failure analysis, debug techniques, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in product testing and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience with statistical tools such as JMP and Exensio.
  • Experience using Teradyne and Eagle testers and bench equipment (oscilloscopes, source meters, signal generators).
  • Strong project management, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, assertive, reliable, and adaptable.

Nice-to-have:

  • Programming experience in C++, C#, VB, or LabView.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BS Electronics or BS Electrical Engineering) is specified.
