Engineer - PDN
ArmJob Title
Engineer - PDN
Role Summary
The PDN (Power Delivery Network) Engineer will develop and deploy electrical sign-off methodologies and implementation flows for SoC power distribution on advanced process nodes, including 2.5D/3D technologies.
The role sits in Solutions Engineering and works with implementation, verification and partner teams to convert R&D concepts into production-ready sign-off flows and analysis tools.
Experience Level
Entry-level β approximately 1β2 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain sign-off methodologies and flows for PDN and related analyses; collaborate with design teams and partners to improve implementation quality.
- Develop robust PDN sign-off flows for advanced nodes and 2.5D/3D integration.
- Perform Static and Dynamic Power Distribution analysis, EM/IR, and ESD sign-off activities.
- Design and deploy methodologies to improve implementation efficiency and yield.
- Support block- and top-level implementation and sign-off flows.
- Analyze data and develop data-mining techniques to guide implementation decisions.
- Translate R&D prototypes into reproducible, production-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to enable high-quality results.
Requirements
Key must-have skills and practical experience for this role.
Must-have:
- 1β2 years experience in ASIC implementation, EM/IR, PDN, physical design or STA on advanced process nodes.
- Hands-on experience across the IC design flow from RTL to GDSII and with block/top-level implementation and sign-off.
- Proven scripting/programming skills (examples: Tcl, Perl, Python, Make).
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to drive methodology adoption across teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Arm-based SoC architectures.
- Experience with additional languages/tools (C, C++, R, JavaScript, Ruby, shell scripting, data presentation tools).
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques (power gating, DVFS).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
