Job Title

Engineer, NAND Silicon Design Validation

Role Summary

As an Engineer, NAND Silicon Design Validation you will develop and validate NAND Flash memory products across pre-silicon concept development and post-silicon validation. You will perform simulations, circuit analysis, device characterization, and failure analysis, and collaborate with R&D, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve design issues and qualify products.

Work includes build verification using CAD and Verilog, preparing engineering samples, and documenting validation results to ensure product performance and manufacturability.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career — 0–3 years suggested; the role prefers 2–3 years of relevant experience but fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product validation, analysis, and cross-functional issue resolution.

  • Develop, validate, and qualify new NAND Flash memory products.
  • Define and validate product configuration parameters.
  • Use CAD tools and Verilog simulations for build verification and circuit analysis.
  • Identify build marginalities and recommend circuit fixes.
  • Perform electrical failure analysis and device characterization using benches and testers.
  • Support preparation and integration of engineering samples.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, manufacturing, business units, and quality assurance to troubleshoot product issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional traits.

  • Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and circuit design; familiarity with schematic and layout concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Verilog and Cadence tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Python and tools such as JMP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic environments with strict qualification requirements.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI/ML productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Co-pilot) and experience integrating AI-assisted tools into workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; degrees in related technical fields or equivalent practical experience are acceptable. Fresh graduates are welcome; the role typically prefers approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience.
