Engineer, NAND Silicon Design Validation

Role Summary

Member of Micron's NAND silicon design validation team based in Singapore, responsible for both pre-silicon concept development and post-silicon validation of NAND Flash memory products. Work covers simulation, device characterization, failure analysis, validation documentation, and cross-functional issue resolution with R&D, manufacturing, and QA.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop, validate, and qualify new NAND Flash memory products.
• Define and validate product configuration parameters and perform build verification using CAD tools and Verilog/SystemVerilog simulation.
• Identify build marginalities, recommend circuit-related fixes, and perform electrical failure analysis to determine root causes.
• Characterize devices using engineering benches and testers; support preparation of engineering samples.
• Collaborate with R&D, designers, manufacturing, business units, and QA to troubleshoot and resolve product-specific issues.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily workflows and contribute AI-enabled continuous improvements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

• Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and circuit building.
• Hands-on experience with Verilog and Cadence toolflows; familiarity with SystemVerilog.
• Experience with Linux and Bash.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and ability to apply AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Python and JMP.
• Project experience developing pre-silicon emulation and designing RISC‑V CPU.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; effective cross-functional communication and independent work capability.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Physics is required.
