Responsibilities
The role validates firmware builds and drives automation and analysis to ensure product quality.
- Develop and execute firmware validation plans and automated test scripts using internal and industry-standard tools.
- Integrate and run automated tests in continuous-integration environments using software simulation and FPGA platforms.
- Prioritize and document failures, file bug reports, and assist development teams with isolation and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, hardware, firmware, test) across locations to understand firmware composition and requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to test coverage, engineering efficiency, and productivity.
- Use approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate test development, automate analysis/reporting, and improve debugging workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and working practices; where noted, items are preferred but not mandatory.

Must: Experience in embedded firmware validation and automated test development.

Must: Strong programming and scripting skills, extensive experience with Python.

Must: Familiarity with storage industry concepts (SSD/HDD/storage systems) and NAND flash technologies.

Must: Understanding of storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe preferred; SATA or SAS acceptable).

Preferred: Experience with I2C, SPI, SMBUS protocols and with CI tools such as Jenkins.

Must: Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional team.

Must: Demonstrated experience using AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity and automation; ability to evaluate AI outputs responsibly.

Preferred: Prior work on FPGA-based validation platforms or hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
Education Requirements
Requires at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (knowledge of hardware required).
