Role Summary

Responsible for managing and improving reliability stress tests and package qualification processes in the reliability lab for backend semiconductor products. Works with cross-functional teams to qualify equipment, define process windows, and ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Accountable for end-to-end management of reliability and qualification activities. Key duties include:

  • Own scheduling and execution of reliability stress tests (thermal cycling, HAST, HTS, CSAM) and package qualification, ensuring on-time delivery and data quality.
  • Maintain and update process of record (POR), SOPs, and quality documentation for assigned tests.
  • Lead qualification and buyoff for new equipment or layout changes; coordinate enablement with Facilities and GEL.
  • Define process windows, control plans, and reaction mechanisms to prevent excursions.

  • Collaborate with Quality, NPI, Product Engineering, and Equipment Engineering to support qualification and audits.
  • Integrate AI solutions with lab systems (Power BI, SharePoint, automation workflows) to automate reporting, dashboards, and workflow approvals.
  • Ensure lab operations comply with quality standards, audit requirements, and EHS guidelines.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and behaviors:

  • Understanding of semiconductor backend or reliability lab processes and common reliability tests (thermal/humidity stress, temperature cycling, reflow; device reliability tests such as HTOL, ELFR, HNBTI).
  • Familiarity with quality systems, process control, and audit requirements.
  • Experience analyzing process data and driving corrective actions; comfortable with statistical methods.
  • Ability to work across functions with clear communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI tools and assistive technologies for automation and reporting (e.g., Copilot, LLMs, Power BI integrations).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with lab automation, equipment qualification, or reliability test engineering.
  • Exposure to Cloud Assist, Code Assist, or agentic AI solutions for scalable implementations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, or a related engineering discipline is required.
