Role Summary

Work within Micron’s SSD Product Validation team to design and execute firmware and product validation for SSDs used in datacenter applications. The role focuses on developing scalable test strategies, debugging firmware issues, and improving product robustness in collaboration with firmware, hardware, and product teams.

Responsibilities

The engineer will define and run validation efforts that verify functionality, quality, and reliability of SSD firmware and products.

• Develop known, grey-box, and closed-system validation tests for SSD firmware in datacenter contexts.
• Translate product requirements into effective, scalable validation coverage with cross-functional teams.
• Create, execute, and analyze test plans across the SSD development lifecycle; identify firmware defects and track resolution.
• Use C, Python, and automation frameworks to accelerate bug finding and support debug and root-cause analysis.
• Leverage AI-assisted development and validation tools to speed test creation and improve methodologies.
• Report test results, maintain test infrastructure, and iterate on validation approaches to improve product quality.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
