Engineer Ecosystem Enablement
Role Summary
As an IP QA engineer on the Ecosystem Enablement team you will qualify and validate third-party semiconductor IP libraries, assess vendor deliveries, execute QA and IP regression tests, and ensure compatibility with PDK and process updates. You will collaborate with external IP providers and internal development teams to resolve technical issues and support customer tape-outs.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include IP qualification, testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Perform incoming IP QA against a predefined checklist; verify IP DK and silicon deliverables and issue certificates of approval or non-conformance.
- Qualify IP merge kits to support customer tape-outs and maintain the IP catalog and database.
- Define and execute test cases for IP qualification and regression, including physical verification (DRC/LVS/DFM), PEX extraction, and SPICE simulation.
- Assess IP impact from PDK or process updates and consolidate assessment results.
- Chair stakeholder reviews, drive issues to closure, and document technical issues, waivers, and assessment reports.
- Maintain IP regression database, SOP workflow documentation, and prepare materials for audits.
- Develop scripting and automation to improve efficiency and support customer queries.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes; preferred items noted as nice-to-have.
- Knowledge of RTL-to-GDS flow and analog simulation.
- Proficient in layout design and DRC/DFM/LVS debugging.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard CAD tools.
- Proficient in scripting and automation languages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; well organized and able to work effectively in a team.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with library compiler, PrimeTime, VCS; project management skills; interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
