Role Summary
Responsible for physical layout design and verification of analog, mixed-signal and custom digital blocks, standard cells and full-chip designs. Works within a global engineering team to deliver block-level layouts to schedule with required quality.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, verification, automation and project collaboration.
- Perform layout design and development for analog, mixed-signal, custom digital blocks, standard cells and full-chip layouts.
- Execute layout verification and quality checks: LVS, DRC, antenna checks, shielding, matching, latch-up, EM/IR and Totem checks; document results.
- Develop digital block layouts using automated placement and routing tools.
- Create and maintain basic automation and scripts (e.g., SKILL) to improve productivity.
- Estimate area/time, plan and schedule work across multiple projects to meet delivery targets.
- Support and review work of junior team members; provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate effectively with global engineering teams and contribute to project management activities.
- Identify and apply tools and techniques (including AI-assisted methods) to reduce layout effort and improve quality.
Requirements

- Hands-on experience in physical layout for analog, mixed-signal and custom digital designs, including full-chip integration.
- Practical experience with layout verification flows and checks: LVS, DRC, antenna, matching, latch-up, EM and IR analysis.
- Experience with auto placement and routing tools for digital block implementation.
- Basic scripting/automation skills (for example SKILL or equivalent) to support layout automation.
- Proven ability to plan, estimate and deliver block-level layouts on schedule in a multi-project environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams.
- Ability to mentor or support junior engineers in layout execution and reviews.
Nice-to-have: prior use of AI-assisted layout tools, leadership experience in layout projects, deep knowledge of process-impact considerations.
