Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting does not state explicit years of experience; suitable for engineers with practical FA/fault isolation experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform electrical device characterization to determine electrical failure mechanisms.
- Operate fault isolation equipment to accurately localize failure defect locations.
- Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify physical defects.
- Develop hypotheses for electrical or process failure mechanisms based on electrical models and FA results.
- Collaborate with Product, Process Integration, Test, and Global Quality teams to resolve defectivity issues.
- Prepare and present electrical and physical failure findings regularly to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement new fault isolation and physical failure analysis techniques.
- Coordinate maintenance and ensure high uptime of FA and fault isolation tools.
- Support shift rotations as required to meet operational needs.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills and experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven team player.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for large-group technical reviews.
- Hands-on experience with fault isolation equipment and physical failure analysis is a strong advantage.
