Role Summary
Join a machine learning group that develops algorithms and software to improve the performance of KLA inspection tools used in semiconductor manufacturing.
The team delivers imaging and classification solutions for wafer defect analysis and works to integrate validated ML concepts into product software.

Entry-level / Early career. Typical experience range: 0–2 years (Master's with 0 years or Bachelor's with 2 years of related experience).
Responsibilities
Primary tasks include research, prototyping, validation and productization of ML algorithms and software:
- Analyze data and define problem statements.
- Research the solution space and develop algorithmic concepts.
- Prototype and validate concepts on representative datasets.
- Specify software requirements for product integration.
- Implement and productize algorithms (software/algorithm development and programming).
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred:
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their practical application.
- Software development skills for prototyping and shipping algorithms.
- Ability to analyze data, design experiments, and validate ML solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear technical communication.
