Job Title

Engineer

Role Summary

Member of Arm's Solutions Engineering group focused on physical implementation and analysis for CPU cores, system interconnects and SoC IP. The role performs synthesis, floorplanning, place-and-route, timing/power/area analysis and physical verification to improve quality of results for Arm designs and partners.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” typically 1–2 years of relevant ASIC implementation or physical design experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver implementation and verification steps that bring RTL to silicon-ready layout and enable partners to achieve high-quality results.

Requirements

Core technical abilities and hands-on implementation experience required for this role.

Must-have:

  • 1–2 years practical experience in ASIC implementation, physical design, STA and timing closure, structured clock tree, PDN analysis, DFM and physical verification.
  • Experience with top- and block-level flows: synthesis, DFT, floor planning, place-and-route, CTS, logical and physical optimization, timing closure and power analysis.
  • Proven scripting/programming skills (examples: Tcl, Perl, Python, Make).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work with international teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Arm-based SoC architectures.
  • Additional languages/tools (C/C++, Java, R, shell scripting, Ruby, JS, HTML) and data-presentation skills.
  • Experience with low-power techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling), Verilog RTL and ATPG or production testing.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or another relevant technical field.
