Works with internal RTL and physical IP teams, customers and EDA vendors to analyze silicon results and drive optimizations.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career - requires at least 2 years of relevant ASIC/SoC implementation experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include implementation, analysis and methodology development for Arm IP and SoCs.

  • Synthesis, physical design and implementation of Arm cores, systems and SoCs.
  • Analyze timing, area and power to improve IP quality.
  • Develop and deploy implementation methodologies and automation to improve efficiency and results.
  • Support implementation analysis and data-mining methodologies.
  • Collaborate with RTL and physical IP teams to drive analysis and optimization.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years experience in ASIC SoC implementation flow from RTL to GDS.
  • Experience with timing constraints development, synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Experience with multi-million gate tape-outs on recent technology nodes.
  • Ability to prepare timing constraints for build and signoff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Scripting and programming (Tcl, Shell, Perl, Python).
  • Low-power design techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
