Emulation Engineer, Automotive Robotics
TenstorrentJob Title
Emulation Engineer, Automotive Robotics
Role Summary
Tenstorrent is hiring an Emulation Engineer to design and scale high-performance emulation platforms for chiplet/SiP-based AI and ML engines. The role focuses on system-level emulation infrastructure that enables verification, software development, and performance/power debug across hardware and software stacks.
Remote role (based in Munich, Germany). The engineer will work cross-functionally with architecture, DV, and software teams and take technical ownership of emulation flows and tools.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 10+ years of SoC/ASIC experience (posting requests 10+ years). Candidates at different seniorities may be considered during interview, but the role expects senior-level responsibility.
Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain scalable emulation environments that support chiplet-based systems and production workflows.
- Architect and implement emulation-based DV and validation environments (transactors, monitors, debug hooks).
- Develop testbenches and support systems to enable efficient emulation usage for DV, software enablement, and performance analysis.
- Integrate emulation with virtual prototyping, power analysis, and software stacks for system-level validation.
- Automate flows to maximize coverage, repeatability, and developer productivity.
- Optimize emulation platforms for frequency, resource sharing, and end-user workflows.
- Collaborate with architecture, software, and DV teams; mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for immediate contribution.
- 10+ years of SoC or ASIC experience with deep understanding of logic design, verification, and emulation platforms.
- Fluent in Verilog/SystemVerilog, C or C++, and SystemC.
- Hands-on experience with commercial emulators such as ZeBu, Palladium, or Veloce.
- Proven ability to architect DV and emulation environments and to automate verification and emulation flows.
- Experience developing transactors, monitors, and debug infrastructure for emulation and virtual prototyping.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills; able to work across teams and drive projects to delivery.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with chiplet/SiP integration, PCIe, UCIe, interconnects, and memory controllers.
- Background in system-level power/performance debug and virtual prototyping at scale.
Compliance: Employment is contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; offers may depend on citizenship, permanent residency, or the ability to obtain an export license.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
