Role Summary

As an engineer in Micron’s Global Quality organization, you will develop and execute EMI and signal-integrity qualification tests for DRAM and NAND products. You will define test methods and specifications, maintain laboratory equipment and software, validate results against automotive and customer requirements, and lead data analysis to support product qualification and release.

The role collaborates with Technology Development, Product Engineering, and QRA teams and provides technical guidance to laboratory technicians.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience in EMI, signal integrity, RF, or electrical test and measurement.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test development, execution, and analysis to qualify product electromagnetic and signal-integrity performance.

  • Lead RF package component and SSD qualification testing: execute measurements, analyze data, and report results.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain EMI and signal-integrity test methods, specifications, and procedures.
  • Apply automotive quality standards (e.g., AEC-Q100) to qualification testing and documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain laboratory software tools to support testing, automation, and data analysis.
  • Design and maintain test hardware and laboratory infrastructure for reliable measurements.
  • Provide technical guidance to laboratory technicians to ensure accurate, timely data collection.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve failing or marginal test results and to meet technical requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test processes, equipment efficiency, and documentation; incorporate AI tools for data analysis and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

Required skills and experience for immediate contribution. Preferred items are listed separately.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in EMI, signal integrity, RF measurements, or electrical test and measurement in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience performing laboratory-based electrical characterization, qualification testing, and data analysis.
  • Hands-on use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test hardware and lab automation tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive qualification requirements and ability to apply standards to testing (e.g., AEC-Q100).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical investigations and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have

  • Programming experience (Visual Basic, C++, or similar) and MATLAB for complex data analysis.
  • Experience with signal-integrity simulation tools and RF measurement techniques.
  • Prior experience with SSD or semiconductor package qualification.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools to engineering data analysis and reporting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred. Equivalent practical experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
