Experience Level
Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, validation, and cross-team collaboration:
- Implement low-level drivers, HALs, RTOS abstraction layers, board support packages, and example/demo applications.
- Create validation test applications and support post-silicon AVV activities and peripheral bring-up (ADC, PWM, CAN, LIN, watchdogs, etc.).
- Automate lab and CI-based test execution and maintain test infrastructure.
- Analyse and debug issues using emulators, silicon, and debug tools such as OpenOCD, J-Link, or Lauterbach.
- Provide feedback to MCU architecture from software validation findings and contribute reference tooling for customers.
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, safety, and tools teams and engage with the RISC-V open-source ecosystem.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Experience developing embedded software for RTOS-based systems, including low-level firmware (drivers, BSPs, HALs).
- Experience with post-silicon validation, bring-up, and peripheral validation.
- Proficiency with debug and trace tools (OpenOCD, J-Link, Lauterbach) and using emulators/silicon for debugging.
- Experience automating tests in lab and CI environments.
- Familiarity with the RISC-V software ecosystem and contributing to open-source projects.
- Strong collaboration skills across architecture, hardware, safety, and tooling teams.
- Nice-to-have: automotive domain experience, functional safety knowledge, or prior MCU architecture or silicon bring-up experience.
Education Requirements
