Embedded IP Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate embedded IP for programmable devices (FPGAs/SoCs). Deliver practical engineering solutions, collaborate with cross-functional and multi-site teams, and produce reliable IP components for engineering customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level - suitable for students or recent graduates; expects minimal prior practical experience (guidance: 3+ months of relevant coursework, projects, internships, or equivalent).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and verify embedded IP components for FPGAs/SoCs.
- Write and debug C/C++ and Python code and testbenches.
- Design and validate digital logic and RTL (e.g., Verilog).
- Work with FPGA toolflows and hardware test setups to validate designs.
- Produce clear documentation and deliver accurate engineering results.
- Communicate technical status and collaborate across multi-site teams.
- Prioritize tasks and produce timely, practical engineering solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- 3+ months of experience or coursework in one or more of: C/C++, Python, digital logic, FPGAs, Verilog.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Focus on quality, discipline, and delivering accurate results for engineering customers.
- Ability to contribute effectively in a multi-site team setting.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field. Equivalent practical experience (school projects, internships, military training, or work experience) is accepted.
