Embedded Engineering - Intern
Role Summary
Work with the Microcontroller Systems Engineering team in Guadalajara to support connectivity and application-specific projects (voice, audio, graphics, wireless). The intern provides technical assistance to staff engineers on characterization, demo development, debugging, and customer support.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Intended for current university students; no prior professional experience required beyond coursework or personal projects.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks and team interactions.
- Report to the MCU Systems Manager in Guadalajara and work under engineering supervision.
- Support energy consumption characterization and measurement tasks.
- Develop and maintain demonstration code and demos.
- Debug hardware and software issues; assist with schematic review and power-debugging activities.
- Support Bluetooth Low Energy features and graphical interface prototypes when needed.
- Assist with customer support activities and documenting debug/resolution steps.

- Available to work as a part-time, on-site intern in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
- Familiarity with embedded systems development and C/C++ programming.
- Basic knowledge of Python is desirable.
- Experience or exposure to Bluetooth Low Energy and graphical interface design is a plus.
- Comfort reviewing hardware schematics and assisting with power-debugging tasks is desirable.
- Ability to follow instructions from engineering staff and communicate technical issues clearly.
Education Requirements
Must be enrolled at a local university with an NXP partnership studying Computer Engineering or Computer Science (current undergraduate student status required).
