Electrical Engineer Intern (Dynapower) - Summer 2027

Role Summary

Summer internship within Dynapower's engineering group supporting technical projects that address current product and production needs. Projects are hands-on and technical, requiring application of electrical engineering principles to prototype, test, and production support.

Interns work with engineering teams, receive regular feedback from peers and managers, and participate in program learning activities. Compensation is hourly and interns are eligible for benefits and a sign-on bonus.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Candidates are current undergraduate or graduate students; typical interns are sophomores through graduate students.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities vary by project; examples include:

  • Support new applications and define use of existing and new ASICs.
  • Build, test and evaluate prototype samples.
  • Create engineering prints, specifications, and documentation.
  • Model device performance and visualize designs using computers.
  • Apply statistical methods to analyze test data and results.
  • Interface with customers on design issues and technical requirements.
  • Support teams solving complex technical problems and high-volume production lines.
  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry.
  • Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability analysis.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and attributes for successful candidates.

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident status required.
  • Eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR (Non-US persons may be ineligible).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply core engineering concepts to unfamiliar problems.
  • Clear, concise technical communication with peers, managers, and customers.
  • Initiative, creativity, persistence, and the ability to work effectively in teams and lead where appropriate.
  • Available for a full-time summer internship period.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related engineering field from an accredited program. Graduate students are eligible. (Degree and field of study are required; no equivalent-experience language was provided.)
