Role Summary

Join the Infrastructure Power team in Austin as an entry-level digital design electrical engineer working on digital power ICs. The role focuses on digital design, verification, debugging, simulation, and automation to support pre- and post-silicon development.

This is a full-time, permanent position on-site in Austin, TX.

Experience Level

Entry-level - recent college graduate (BSc; MSc preferred). Suitable for candidates with limited industry experience, including new graduates and those with internship experience.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementation, verification, and automation tasks for digital power designs.

• Develop, debug, and verify digital designs in pre- and post-silicon environments.
• Write and run tests for digital design verification.
• Create and improve scripts to automate design and verification flows.
• Document design requirements, architecture, and implementation details.
• Research and evaluate tools to improve the design development process; present findings to the team.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes; preferred items listed separately.

• Comfortable debugging mixed-signal designs within SystemVerilog-based testbenches.
• Evidence of project work that demonstrates collaboration and problem-solving.
• Proficient in a scripting language such as Python or Perl for automation tasks.
• Strong analytical skills and systematic debug methodology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Cadence or Synopsys tools (for example, SimVision or Verdi).
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M processors and general computer architecture.
• Academic or practical experience with serial interfaces and mixed-signal concepts.
• Prior industry employment or internships in relevant areas.

Education Requirements

Required: BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE). Preferred: MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Degree focus on digital/mixed-signal design or related electrical/computer engineering fields is expected.
