Job Title

EHigh Bandwidth Memory Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Define and execute qualification and quality processes for high-bandwidth DRAM (HBM). Work with technology development, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to set reliability targets, assess risks, certify qualifications, and drive corrective actions.

The role involves analyzing qualification and inline test data, performing root-cause investigations, and establishing quality metrics and monitors. May telecommute part-time.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include qualification, reliability, data analysis, and cross-team communication:

  • Define HBM qualification requirements and review qualification data to certify readiness for release.
  • Perform risk assessments at decision points during qualification cycles.
  • Develop and maintain product reliability methodology, monitors, metrics, and specifications.
  • Establish and review ongoing product quality metrics and quality requirements.
  • Analyze inline test and field data; mine and correlate datasets to identify failure trends.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions (CA/PA).
  • Support process excursion analysis and manufacturing-level corrective actions.
  • Communicate violations of release/acceptance criteria and coordinate corrective actions across teams.
  • Provide internal technical support for customer support teams and review customer DPM metrics.
  • Develop reliability process monitor (RPM) plans and related documentation.

Requirements

Must-have technical knowledge and tools:

  • DRAM operation and HBM-specific understanding.
  • Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) fabrication process knowledge.
  • Semiconductor device physics and CMOS/digital circuit fundamentals.
  • Experience with DFII/Cadence or Verilog.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and JMP (data analysis tool).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience defining quality/reliability metrics and product release processes.
  • Background in developing reliability monitors and manufacturing corrective actions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is accepted by the employer.
