EDA Software Engineer
Role Summary
Work on Defacto Technologies' EDA products as part of the development engineering team in Grenoble. Responsible for software architecture, feature implementation, quality, and performance of EDA tools.
Collaborate with product and test engineers to collect internal requirements, ensure product quality, and improve development workflows and design methodologies.

Responsibilities
The role includes design, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance of EDA software:
- Design and implement software architecture and features, including graphical user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain existing and new Defacto solutions.
- Create and execute unit tests; work with test engineering to ensure product quality.
- Diagnose and fix bugs; optimize performance.
- Collect internal customer requirements and translate them into product features.
- Collaborate with product and test engineers to improve the development environment and design methodologies.
Requirements
Essential skills and expected behaviors:
- Proven experience programming in C/C++ and object-oriented design.
- Comfortable with Linux development environments.
- Strong English communication skills; ability to work independently and in an R&D team.
- Familiarity with version control systems (git, svn) is appreciated.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in the EDA or semiconductor industry.
- Tcl scripting, Qt libraries, or RTL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL).
Education Requirements
Engineering degree (Bachelor's, Master's) or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field, as specified by the employer.
