Role Summary

The EDA R&D Engineer will research, develop, apply, and support software for the design of leading-edge analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits. This role involves working on design automation, simulation, and modeling to give IC designers a competitive advantage in their projects.

Experience Level

Mid-level; a strong understanding of IC design concepts is required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research and develop high-performance algorithms for numerical simulation and design of circuits and systems.
  • Apply machine learning methods to enhance design automation process.
  • Develop automated layout generation methods for advanced process nodes.
  • Support all aspects of the software life-cycle including product definition and user support.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, and UI for engineering problems.
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning/AI algorithms.
  • Proficient in Python and C++ programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal IC design principles.
  • Experience using analog design systems, ideally Cadence Custom IC platform.

Education Requirements

Master's or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines is required.
