Job Title

EDA Data Management Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Provide technical support, training and user advocacy for internal IC design data management tools and services. The role sits on the Design Data Management team within Engineering Enablement and works with developers and distributed user teams to improve and operate internal tooling deployed across private and public cloud infrastructure.

Main mission: resolve user issues, drive acceptance testing and documentation, and represent user needs to development teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting lists this as an experienced role; 4+ years semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include supporting users, validating features, and communicating user requirements to engineering teams.

  • Support and train internal users on new and existing product features.
  • Debug and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for design tooling and workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers to represent the voice of the user for new features and changes.
  • Perform evaluation and acceptance testing of tool updates and new features.
  • Create technical articles, presentations, and training materials for users.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to design user-focused solutions.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and attributes.

  • Practical experience with IC development flows and design tools (design, layout, or test).
  • Familiarity with at least one data management platform (Perforce or Git).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and time-management skills.
  • Experience acting as a customer advocate within development teams.
  • Comfort with Linux; experience with Cadence design tools is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (~10% required).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electronic & Computer Engineering or a similar technical field. The posting notes 4+ years of semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.
