Entry-level / early career (works under supervision). Preferred experience: ~6+ months with architecture/design tools, scripting/programming, and design verification methods.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include supporting architecture and RTL work for IP/block development through implementation and documentation.
- Support definition, modeling, digital design and verification of IP blocks and SoC components.
- Help create architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop implementation strategies that meet system and customer needs.
- Assist in evaluating flows from high-level design to synthesis, place-and-route, timing and power analysis, and verification.
- Use EDA and design tools (e.g., RTL-to-GDS flows, Virtuoso) as part of design and integration tasks.
- Produce technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
Requirements
Skills and experience expected for the role. Degree requirements are listed under Education Requirements below.
- ASIC/SoC design familiarity and ability to apply ASIC knowledge to RTL and block-level work.
- Experience with architecture and design tools (preferred ~6+ months).
- Experience with scripting tools and programming languages for automation (preferred ~6+ months).
- Familiarity with design verification methods and flows (preferred ~6+ months).
- Practical experience with RTL-to-GDS flows and common EDA tools; familiarity with Virtuoso is a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication; able to write technical documentation and work in a team under supervision.
